Memories of our mates

Sjt Eddy Hird

Eddie and Liz

Paddy Larkin says :-

Eddy served from Nov 1972 - Aug 1995, rank on discharge was Serjeant.

He was very respected by all who knew him especially in Signals Platoon.

He was a good instructor and listener if you had a problem.

Eddy died in an hospice of a Brain Tumour

May he be at rest in the hands of God.

Please pass on my deepest condolences to Eddy's family.

He was a top bloke who always had time for you he was a very good signaller and taught me personally about signalling.

A very likeable man.

Rest in peace Eddy.

Friendship and respect are passed from friend to friend like a flame is passed from candle to candle. Although I did not know you, the flames on the candles that your friends now hold, still burn brightly with your memory. Rest peacefully Eddy.
