National Memorial Arboretum

Due to the fact there is NO memorial to the Light
Infantry at the
Arboretum, Eric created a
Memorial Graphic

Harry Finley has over the past forty years entered
ALL the light infantry dead into a data base, Of which
I have combined the graphic and the database into a
page for the Light Infantry dead

Which I have called:

PLANNING in PROGRESS


"August 2011, The Anniversary and Minden Day on the SAME day"


The 50th anniversary of the 1st Bn KOYLI move from Pontefract in 1961 to Terendak, Camp Malaya,

Will be held at the Kings Croft Hotel, Pontefract, In August 2011

The day 's activities will consist of a parade on the lawns at the hotel, With a march past and the Yorkshire
Band, Will help with the marching speed

After that strenuous exercise there will be a very nice meal (
Cost of meal later) inside the hotel

It is planned that the Minden Day activities will commence at 7pm (
Times later)

It will be a grand time to meet all your friends and mates
